English as a Second Language (Beginner - Level 1)
For the student who has an extremely limited English vocabulary and little or no knowledge of
reading and writing English. Students will learn Basic English conversational skills, basic
survival vocabulary to begin to read and write in English and basic grammar (present, past,
future verbs).
English as a Second Language (Beginner - Level 2)
For the student who can speak, read and write some English, primarily simple short sentences,
understands basic sentence structure. Student will learn Basic English conversational skills,
additional vocabulary words, write, read and speak complete sentences in English.
English as a Second Language (Intermediate)
This course is for the student who can speak and understand basic conversational English and
has basic survival skills/conversational vocabulary. Student must be able to read and write
conversational English. Student will learn to improve his/her conversational English, expand
English vocabulary, continue work on grammar and sentence structure and improve reading and
writing skills.
English as a Second Language (Advanced)
For the student who can carry on a normal conversation in English, can read and write most
conversational English, still has a strong accent and is occasionally misunderstood and needs a
more extensive grammar course. Student will learn the fine points of grammar recognize and
correct long-standing errors in speaking and writing, discuss American cultural patterns in
society and the work place, improve reading and writing skills and build vocabulary skills
